3. Set up widgets
Supported devices:Fitbit Versa, Fitbit Versa 2, Fitbit Versa 3 and Fitbit Sense.
Let's admit, widgets are the most important feature because they make it easier to access. By setting up the widget on your Fitbit, you'll get quick access to your daily stats, water intake, weight, and more. Even check weather conditions at a glance before planning a walk.
To access the widget area, swipe up from the watch face to see the available widgets. Tap Manage at the bottom to add more widgets as needed.

Checking phones frequently to know what's popping is pretty impractical when you have a watch that displays notifications from the wrist. Fitbit can send smart notifications from your phone, including text messages, phone calls, or app notifications.
How do I turn on notifications on Fitbit smartwatches?
- Open the Fitbit app > choose an account > select your Fitbit device > go to Notifications > Activate.

Supported devices:Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Versa, Fitbit Versa 2, Fitbit Versa 3, Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Charge 3 und Fitbit Sense.
You may not want your Fitbit to disturb your sleep. To make sure you don't get disturbed by notifications in the middle of the night, scheduling sleep mode is the right step.
Scheduling this will silence your watch from receiving notifications, goal celebrations, and reminder tones. In addition, the brightness of the clock is dimmed and the always-on display is switched off.
How do I schedule sleep mode on Fitbit watch?
- Swipe left on the clock on the home screen.
- Go to settings.

7. Set goals and targets
Supported devices:All Fitbit watches.
Fitbit has a feature for setting up primary goals and activity goals. This feature helps you focus on your fitness journey by giving you the motivation to keep going.
By default, Fitbit tracks steps as the primary goal. However, you can choose between five main goals, including steps, distance, calories burned, floors climbed and active minutes.
Setting a primary goal is entirely up to you. For example, let's say you're a cyclist, so tracking steps is inappropriate. A better solution is to set distance or calories burned as your primary goal. Note that you cannot set multiple activities as a primary goal at the same time.
How do I set up primary goals and goals on Fitbit?
- Open the Fitbit app > Go to Accounts > Choose your Fitbit device > Scroll down tomain goal> Select someone from the list.
- After you set the main goal, it's time to add your goal by providing the values. For example, set a goal of 1000 steps.
When the goal is reached, the watch will vibrate and show an animation to celebrate your victory.
8. Pay on the go
Supported devices:FitbitCharge 4, FitbitIonic, FitbitSense, FitbitVersa 2, FitbitVersa 3, and FitbitCharge 3 editions.
Like Apple & Google Pay, Fitbit allows you to make secure contactless transactions from the watch. This feature speeds up the checkout process as you don't have to swipe out your credit cards to make the payment.
Additionally, it becomes convenient and effortless as it gives you the freedom to carry physical cards with you wherever you go.
How do I set up Fitbit Pay on the watch?
