Most of us have made New Year's resolutions, such as trying to lead a healthier lifestyle.Tap or click here for technical resolutions you can actually keep. Technology can help you take control of your fitness routine like never before when you need a little help. A good option is a fitness tracker like Fitbit.
The basics of a Fitbit are easy to set up and configure, but you might not know a few important things. It's easy to log a run or change the time. But did you know that changing your device's band is just as important?
In this guide, we'll walk you through how to get the best experience, explore some new features, and pair your Fitbit with a virtual assistant.
1. Replace the wristband
A new band for your Fitbit not only makes it look fresher, but is also more hygienic. Over time and wear and tear, the tape on your tracker accumulates all sorts of unsavory items. If you don't wash your band carefully after each session, it will become unsanitary very quickly.

Choosing the right replacement band is just as important as cleanliness. Not all ribbons are created equal, and not being familiar with certain materials, fabrics, or textures can spell disaster.
We recommend taking a look at theNeitooh 4-Pack that is compatible with Fitbit Versa, Versa 2 and Versa Lite for men and women. Made of environmental and skin-friendly TPE material, it is abrasion and high temperature resistant. There's also not that new plastic smell that so many bands ship with. Available in four colors, the bands are waterproof and will not tear when exposed to the sun.
Cleaning them is quite easy as an old toothbrush and some detergent will do with a gentle scrubbing.
The other replacement band that we highly recommend is thisMeliya 3er-Pack Silicone Bandercompatible with Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Charge 3 and Charge 3 SE.
The strap requires no tools to be replaced and simply snaps into place. They are made of flexible, high-quality elastomer and withstand sweat, water and sun. They come in a variety of great colors so they'll complement your wardrobe perfectly.
